been gone too long...

i found it kind of amusing today when i went back to blogger to begin again (renew for spring, ya know) my blogging here.  my last post was in january at the end of the 1 ft snowstorm we got that day...and today (despite being spring) we had snow again!

so much has transpired since i visited here last...hard to believe all the changes...so peek into our life and follow the escapades as we move on....

my little prayer book that helps me through the day :)
I've found that sometimes you just have to give your worries to a higher power...
it will all work out, a little patience, prayer and peace.

our plan to move has alot to do with our kids...open spaces, less hustle/bustle
and a sense of simplicity....

a trip to the CRAB SHACK on tybee island, GA...what a cool place...
hole in the center of the table where you just swept all your crab legs in...
dont you love danny's shirt???

unbelievably, emmy's first trip to the beach...she loved it!

Our home in Georgia :)

Absolutely stunning Bonaventure Cemetary in Savannah, GA
We loved it.   sweeping oak trees covered in moss...peaceful, quiet and
just a lovely place to visit.  i would love to spend a little more time checking it out

...fiddler playing during a rugby game at Forsythe Park in Savannah...

forsythe fountain...that little boy running with glee is Jacob :)

St. John the Baptist church in Savannah...stunning!

on the beach at Tybee Island.  what a beautiful, serene little town.
Definitely will go back...

*********************

so here's what I've learned over the past few weeks..

*how to stage your house
*permit inspectors are not your friends
*mortgage approvals take a long long time (especially for someone who has no patience)
*decluttering is a liberating process
*just because i'm excited about moving, doesn't mean anyone else is!!!
*patience is a virtue :)

leaving behind friends, family and everything I know is scary, but also gives you a sense of
freedom...to take a chance and move somewhere that you don't know anything about, and where you know not a single soul.  you can be reborn, change your life, be the person you want to be with zero baggage.
it's like a fresh start.

today is my birthday.  i am 41.  it i guess has taken me this long to discover
what is important to me, what faith is all about (i'm still learning all about this), and the value of honesty, patience and real friendships.  And to slow down.  I've learned above all else that despite how fast i move, the universe moves at her own pace.  no amount of hurrying up from me will help.

so here's to fresh starts, simplicity and renewed faith...

blessings to all...sue
