The bunny snuck up on me!

I can't believe that Easter is next Sunday!!  I really was not prepared to the upcoming holiday, so I kind of freaked out yesterday and got to work!  I made Peep bunny pops and chocolate bunny pops for the kid's class parties.

I inserted a round piece of styrofoam in the basket so the pops all stand up...cute!!  It's like a bunny garden!

Emma also gets to share these cute little candy holders I found at {{yes}} the dollar store!!  3 in a pack..what a bargain!

So here's my "to do list" for the week!

Easter pops
Easter cards
Easter baskets
Resume {to send to Memorial}
Plan Nick's 16th birthday party
Plan summer basket raffle at work
Easter goodies for work
Practical Scrappers challenge
Memory Works blog posts/projects

Whew!!  Lots to do this week!

Easter magnet

I make these little chickies for Easter.  You can make a magnet out of them or punch a hole in the top and add it to your easter baskets.  Whatever you do with them, they are quick and simple and fun to make!

Supplies:
Oval template or scissors and a good eye
Scalloped circle punch
Pen or googly eyes
pop dots/adhesive
ribbon and flower
I used paper from the March Memory Works Express Kit

step one:  cut out oval shapes from double sided cardstock.

Step two:

cut one egg in half (think linus's t shirt stripe or use decorative scissors.

Step three:  Flip over your cracked egg and adhere it on top of the solid egg using pop dots.

Step four:  Punch two scalloped circles.  Make a face on one and add a beak.  Cut two small pieces out of the other one for feet.  Slip the face behind the bottom part of your cracked egg.

Step five:  Add ribbon and flower.  Add a magnet on the back, or punch a hole in the top and make a tag.  You can decorate more if you like, add stickles, fake stitching, etc.

Hope you have an egg-citing day!

My Birthday!

I celebrated my 40th birthday at home with my family tonight.  My oldest son, Nick made me this awesome birthday hat!  He stapled all the candles, flowers and words on it!  It was a hoot!

I look awful serious in the photo too!  Now that I'm forty, I decided to not dress up or do my hair for my birthday either!!!! ha ha ha!  My sister even brought me a strawberry cheesecake too!

practical scrappers challenge

Ok, well this little mini I made is all over the place.  Some items are at least 4-5 years old!!

First off the main album is not new...it's from the March MemoryWorks Express Kit
Paper is from Rhonna Fahrer...at least 4 years old!  The cut out words are from some
stamplike paper I had from God knows when...my early days of scrapping...so maybe from 2003?

the letters on the background on the left page from a clearance bin last year.  The stamped image on the right page is a Heidi Swapp stamp from Memory Works, circa 2008.  Flowers are from the course of the last year or two.  Other paper is Jenni Bowlin, last year from MW as well.

Ok, the flowers on the lower left there are again, circa 2007!  It's amazing
what you find when you go digging into your stash!

Again, large heart on bottom left...same Daisy D die cut pack, circa 2007!

thanks for looking...hope you find some oldies but goodies in your stash!!

Here's another one I am working on...

I bought this album in Pidgeon Forge, Tennessee at this big scrapbook outlet there..in 2006!
The clear title is from about 2007..MME kit from Memory Works...album isn't done yet, only the cover.
I'll post more when I get it done!

*****

These are new from Memory Works!  I made these cute little baskets for my table settings at Easter.
You can fit a small cupcake in them, or jelly beans.  They are super easy to make and
quick!

I used products from the March Memory Works Express Kit,
and Little Chick papers from 3 Bugs in a Rug.

I love the button flowers...from the MW Express Kit!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

My new chairs

I finally got new chairs for my dining room..nothing spectacular, but I really like them.  Kind of mission, plain and NO FABRIC!!  Much better for cleaning up after the kids.  Now I just have to get rid of the old one's that are sitting behind my garage...

288 eggs

Ok, so this month on the MW board, we did an egg swap in celebration of upcoming Easter.  So all  24 participants filled little plastic eggs with whatever scrappy goody could fit and sent them to me.  Then in turn I separated them into 24 bags and mailed them all back.  So all total, I sorted 288 eggs and packed them into 24 separate boxes!  Whew!  How fun, but time consuming!  I am happy to say that all the eggs are in the post offices hands now!  Watch your mailboxes for eggies..hope none hatch on the way!!

It's been a while...

No doubt, I've fell off the blog bandwagon for the last week or so, as well as the scrapping bandwagon!  I haven't touched a brad or used a punch in over a week.  Nor have I been on my MW Studio page!  But that will all change today.  I have to get back into the swing.  I have a swap to swap out {i think we all have our stuff in} and lots of other catching up to do.

My creative outlets have been in another realm...grouting and tilework...to be exact, finishing my bathroom that has been un-grouted for the past ummmm...2 years!  So it's done {almost}.  Just two more tiles to go and then some touch up paint and a decision on how to make the floor look a little better.  I've also been tackling repainting the staircase.  I got the risers primed yesterday, so hopefully today I can get two coasts of gloss on them.  Then it's onto the banister.  Yuk!

I finally was able to order my new dining room chairs and they should be here in a few short days..hooray!!!!!  So, have a little free time this morning, gotta go catch up. BTW, weather has been great so we've been outside playing some more!

In checking everything out that I have missed, I found some great ideas over at the MW blog..check em out!!

Pink Paislee mini album

Oh, I love PP...I made this mini today...so vintage looking!  I really enjoyed putting it together.  This album is available in my etsy shoppe .  I am also using a part of the album {back cover} for the Practical Scrappers weekly challenge {just love that site!}. I used ink to distress my edge of the whole album, the edges of the photo holders, and stamped a pretty circle image on the back cover.   I also inked the hole reinforces in sepia ink to match.

I got inspired by Sandy over at MW to use up some old items I had, so I busted out the Ranger Distress Crackle paint and Inkssentials Glossy Accents.  I also used Tim Holtz leather embossing powder and distressed the edges with Ranger Ink in sepia.  I added drawn in stitches around the edges of all the papers.  I also used my {{brand spanking new}} Cosmo Cricket Tiny Alpha's in red {which I love, love, love} and used up some Prima flowers I've had sitting around looking pretty.  Last month in the MW Express Kit I got a great batch of chipboard...which is the base of the album and then the other chipboard pieces are added in here and there.  But the most beautiful aspect of the album is the papers...Pink Paislee!

I really hope you enjoy the album, I really enjoyed making it!

The glossy accents cover the "friend" title.  Hello, prima flower!

CC Tiny alpha's and for a twist I used some fall paper from Pink Paislee's halloween set!
Love the zipper pull!

I split a pink paislee journaling tag to use on both pages since the album is only 4x4.
More Tim Holtz there too {the safety pin}

Threw in some Pebbles ribbon there too!

Here's my stamped edge for the circle.  It's so pretty.

I loved this chip addition to the page..it's like a tab, only thicker!

If you would like to order any of the products used in this...contact me today!

Rock Candy rocks!

Creative Team Member, Sandy, rocked some cute ideas using Ranger Rock Candy available from your MemoryWorks consultant {me!}.  Sandy made some cute tags, varying how she used the Rock Candy.  She also impressed the idea of breaking into your stash for oldies, but goodies...ummm, now I have to go digging!!

Check out her cool projects over on the blog...
